Dr. Teebok Choe
A Lifelong Passion for Superior Dental Care
Dr. Teebok was born in Baltimore, MD, when his father was a junior in dental school. At one year old, Teebok Choe's family was stationed in South Korea. This is where he lived until he was six years old. Due to his military background, Teebok Choe's family ended up in Fayetteville, NC, where he grew up.
Dr. Teebok is the second periodontist and seventh dentist in his extended family. Being raised by and around excellent dental professionals instilled a deep commitment in Dr. Teebok. He believes that a patient-doctor relationship is a key foundation in any treatment and strives to treat his Raleigh patients like family. His end goal is to provide the best care tailored to each individual patient, and do so with a smile.
An Outstanding Student Throughout Years of Education
Bachelor of Science
Teebok Choe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The school's biological sciences program is currently ranked #25 in all of America.
Master of Science
Dr. Teebok then attended Mississippi College and received a Master of Science in Medical Sciences, studying in the school’s state-of-the-art clinical laboratory.
Dental Degree
Dr. Teebok earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Periodontology.
While he was here, his peers voted him as class president for all four years he was a student. He also co-founded the Business Management Club which worked closely with members of the International College of Dentists to help his peers gain knowledge on life post-graduation.
He went above and beyond simply being a leader of students by dedicating himself to patients in need—Dr. Teebok took charge of the planning and leadership of a University of Maryland-led Mission of Mercy that served over a thousand patients who were in dire need of dental care over the course of a single weekend.
Dual Residencies
After obtaining his dental degree, Dr. Teebok completed a two-year residency in Advanced General Dentistry where he focused on aesthetic dentistry and digital dentistry. He also served as Chief for his two years.
Upon completing his first residency, Dr. Teebok attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry for his periodontology specialty training and received his certificate and Master of Science in Periodontology. Here, he furthered his education in dentistry with a focus on periodontal surgery and treatment. He also served as Chief during this residency.
Outside of Dentistry

When he's not working in our Raleigh periodontist office, Dr. Teebok enjoys spending time with his wife and their beloved child Emilia. He takes great joy in cooking for his friends and family. He also attends many local car and coffee events before heading home to watch a great movie.
